Semiahmoo Potters November 2024

With just over three weeks until our November 23rd & 24th Yule Sale, our Crescent Park studio is a hub of activity. We look forward to greeting supporters at the South Surrey Recreation and Arts Centre Turnbull Gallery with a unique selection of decorative and functional ceramics, as well as a lovely door prize. This year shoppers also have an opportunity to purchase gift certificates for 2025 pottery classes at CP studio. Taught by talented SPS members, each class is aimed at clay curious participants at various levels of experience, from beginner to experienced potters. Finding joy in creative arts is a gift that keeps on giving!

In celebration of our 30 years as a pottery club, volunteers have mounted the colourful tiles crafted by our members. Each one is a glimpse of West Coast living. We’re looking forward to displaying them at our sale in Turnbull gallery.

Though the gusty wind and rain postponed our fall SPS Raku firings for a week, we lucked out and enjoyed two dry days. Enjoy these images of potters prepping and firing pieces using this ancient Japanese art:
