Semiahmoo Potters December 2024

The November 23 & 24 Christmas sale at the SSR&AC Turnbull Gallery was a tremendous success. Over 750 visitors viewed and purchased ceramics created by 43 SPS potters. What made this event especially rewarding is the public’s patronage of our 30 years in the community. This 30-year anniversary celebration tile mural reflecting West Coast life received many positive accolades:

SPS is grateful for our supportive community who made this year’s Christmas sale so successful; 1,195 pieces were sold, with an average price of $25. We‘re also pleased by the popularity of our public programming gift vouchers: we doubled the hand-building classes offered and also have private lesson sessions. Our little Crescent Park Studio is providing unique learning opportunities on the Peninsula. Congratulations to South Surrey resident Rob, this year’s lucky door prize winner of the lovely vase created by talented member Simon Liao:

Thank you to the many shoppers who visited our Crescent Park Studio December 14th Mini Market sale. Even a short power outage did not deter visitors from buying gifts for others and treats for themselves. It was a terrific last public event in the studio before we invite the community back for new gallery and open house experiences in 2025.
