Semiahmoo Potters May 2025

Semiahmoo Potters are grateful for the many supporters—almost 600—attending our annual May 3rd and 4th Spring Sale at the South Surrey & Recreation Arts Centre’s Turnbull Gallery. Forty-two SPS potters participated in the event; shoppers took away 708 individual pieces.

As well, local potters dropped by to register for summer & fall workshops offered at the Crescent Park Studio.. B.C. lower mainland clinicians Amelia Butcher, David Lloyd and Robin Jenkins will be at Crescent Park Studio this June, September and October. Check out the website “Classes” link for details. The beautiful door prize bowl crafted by talented member Linda Langton was won by South Surrey resident Liz Ferguson. Congratulations, Liz!

In May we will continue our end of the month Crescent Park Open Studio and Gallery on Saturday, May 31st at 2585 132 Street from 10 a.m.—1 p.m.. Drop by and check out pieces for sale on the gallery shelves, as well as observe potters working. Due to busy Crescent Park events, if the public lot is full, visitors can use the CPS parking between these 3 hours.

Members are preparing for a month at the **Crescent Beach Pop-Up Gallery** at 12160 Beecher Street, during July. We will have our exact hours of operation posted in June. In the meantime, plan to visit us in this Surrey donated space. Encourage summer guests experiencing the Lower Mainland to find souvenir items crafted by local ceramicists.
